Mark Tobin wins division in Sydney to Hobart

Congratulations to Mark Tobin, previous commodore of JBCYC, for a fantastic performance in the recent Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Mark was skipper of After Midnight (previously known as Primitive Cool), a Farr 40, that he recently purchased with his brother Greg. Also in the crew were Mick Linhart and Mark Bakewell, also members of JBCYC. In previous years Mark has crewed on other boats in the Sydney to Hobart but has never come as close to winning as he has in his own boat this year. At one stage they were leading the race under IRC handicap but lost an hour in the Derwent River when blown backwards by a 60 knot wind. Inspite of this they still achieved 4th place under IRC handicap and took out first place under ORCi-Div 2. Well done - what will see in the 2015 Sydney to Hobart?
