JBCYC Camping Weekend, 28 Feb to 1 March

posted Feb 13, 2020, 2:27 AM by David Churchward
The JBCYC Camping is always a great event. This year’s venue will be the Moruya North Head Campground. To get there turn left just before crossing the Moruya River onto North Head Drive and follow to the end (past the airport). It is situated on the dunes of Benjello Beach adjacent to the Moruya River. It is a fantastic location for swimming, fishing, snorkelling, and surfing.

The campground does not accept bookings, it is a first come first in basis but it should not be crowded at that time of year. The early arrivers can reserve an area for those who are following. The cost is $12 per person per night. It has toilets, showers (cold), and water available. It does not have any powered sites. Check out their webite at https://moruyanorthheadcampground.com.au/about-the-campground/. Unlike many camping areas on the southcoast the Moruya North Head Campground is open. If there is no fire ban in pace then Saturday night will be a camp fire, with camp oven roasts so bring something to cook on the fire and share. It would also be helpful if some people brought some firewood.

Help bring some tourism $ back into the fire effected south coast region. Be there and be prepared to have a fun weekend.
