Many members have been concerned about the delay in receiving their membership cards this year.  We have received information from YNSW, who administer Yachting Australia memberships, that the delays have been for a number of reasons.  Initially the cause was administrative problems due to insufficient staff at YNSW, following the changes made to procedures requiring all memberships to be lodged via YNSW.   We have now been advised that delays are also due to a mistake in the printing of a batch of Jervis Bay Cruising Yacht Club members cards, the cards have been printed with the wrong information on them.  YNSW advise that a large number of the cards have actually been mailed out already.  The wrong information mainly relates to the club name being mistyped, apparently showing Jervis Bay Yacht Club of Australia.  We have been informed a second batch have been ordered and should be ready for mail out within the next 2 to 3 weeks.

The Club wishes to advise that all members who have signed up (and provided the correct details) in excess of 21 days ago that they are fully financial members of Yachting Australia.  Should members require proof of the YA membership for upcoming events please contact the Clubs YA Rep Jim McDonald via email ;   and a YA printout can be forwarded.
