Last Sunday saw another great day of sailing on Jervis Bay in a moderate variable SE to NE wind, 11 yachts and multi hulls started in the annual Lady Skippers race at 1110 followed by the Forward Hands race at1305

Both races were conducted in Hare Bay using Marine Park and Laid Markers to form Olympic style course incorporating a 50m Gate at A1 Mark.

The Ladies were first away, lack of wind delayed the start, once the wind  picked up some close racing followed, Cougar( Karen Holdsworth) crossed the finish line in 1h -23m-8s the elapsed race time overall being 1h-54m-58s,)

Rock hopper (Wendy Gilbert) being the race winner again this season.

With the start of the Forward Hands race the wind freshened from the NE giving the boats a good fast sail, Cougar (Sam Lay) completing the course in 37m-51

The overall winner was Arabesque (Mitch)

Pleasure 1V (Lisa Hood) rejoined the fleet once again putting in a good performance together with Mistress (Dave & Pauline Churchward)
